Am I eligible?
Generally, your household income must be 250% of the federal poverty level or less. That is before taxes. Also, your problem with the IRS must usually be under $50,000.
(Note: the LITC cannot help you file your taxes. For ways to file your taxes and help, see the www.MontanaFreeFile.org web site.)
How can I find out if I'm eligible?
You can call the Montana Legal Services Association's HelpLine to find out if you are eligible. The Help Line number is 1-800-666-6899. The HelpLine is open Mondays-Fridays 7:15am-5:15pm and on Saturdays 9:15am -12:45pm.
If you are eligible, the LITC will review your case and decide whether it fits with the Clinic's mission and guidelines.
