The LITC needs attorneys and tax professionals to volunteer to help low income taxpayers to resolve their disputes with the IRS. The LITC helps clients only after they are screened for financial eligibilty and if their cases have merit.
LITC volunteers have 3 options for helping: direct representation of clients in tax court, assistance to clients in case settlement, and/or presenting informational workshops on tax matters. LITC volunteers can give their time as their schedules allow.
Montana Legal Services Association provides volunteers with the resources and support to make sure their experiences are positive and rewarding.
If you would like more information about volunteering, please contact the LITC at montanalitc@mtlsa.org or (406) 442-9830 x 10. |
